- Luteal Phase Support in Fertility Treatments (e.g., IVF, IUI)
- Supports the uterine lining (endometrium) after ovulation or embryo transfer.
- Helps maintain early pregnancy by mimicking natural progesterone.
- Prevention of Miscarriage (Threatened or Recurrent)
- Used when progesterone deficiency is suspected as the cause.
- Secondary Amenorrhea (Absence of Periods)
- Helps induce a withdrawal bleed by mimicking the natural progesterone drop.
- Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
- Given in combination with estrogen to protect the uterine lining in women with an intact uterus.
