Uses of Prontonor.

1. Delaying Menstruation

• Temporarily stops periods, often for events, travel, or religious reasons.
• Usually started 3 days before expected period and continued for up to 14 days.
• Menstruation typically resumes 2–4 days after stopping the medication.

2. Heavy or Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (Menorrhagia or Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding)

• Helps control excessive bleeding.
• Often used for short courses or cyclically.

3. Irregular Periods (Oligomenorrhea) or Amenorrhea

• Induces withdrawal bleeding in women with absent or irregular periods.

4. Endometriosis

• Suppresses ovulation and endometrial growth to reduce pain and symptoms.

5. Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) or Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)

• Alleviates mood swings, breast tenderness, and bloating before periods.

6. Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

• Used with estrogen to prevent endometrial hyperplasia in postmenopausal women.
